Asako Naruto
Born in Japan, Asako is a Madrid-based photographer specializing in street photography.
After studying design at an art university in Tokyo, pursued a specialization in art history at Nagoya University. Has been based in Madrid since 2005 for Ph.D. research. In 2022, she received the Annual Grand Prize from Digital Camera Magazine (Japan), which marked the beginning of broader recognition. Since then, she has earned numerous awards in international photography competitions, including consecutive Grand Prix honors at the Paris International Street Photo Awards and the B&W International Awards, as well as 1st Place at the Fine Art Photography Awards.
In 2024, she was invited as an exhibiting artist at ART-ICON Paris, held alongside a work by David Lynch. Serves in 2025 as a member of the international Jury for 35Awards, one of the world’s largest photography competitions. Among 112,000 participants, was named The Best Photographer of the Year in the Street category.
Her first monograph, All the Finding Words, will be published in 2025.

スペインを拠点にする写真家。
武蔵野美術大学でデザインを学んだ後、名古屋大学文学部で美術史を専攻（エル・グレコ研究）。博士課程在籍中の2005年からマドリッドに在住。2022年に日本の写真雑誌、デジタルカメラマガジンで年間最優秀賞を受賞。これを皮切りにParis International Street Photo AwardsやB&W International Awardsで2年連続でグランプリ、Fine Art Photography Awardsでも第1位に選ばれるなど、国際写真コンテストでの受賞歴多数。
2024年、故デヴィッド・リンチ監督の作品も出展されたパリのART-ICON展に、招待作家として参加。さらに2025年には、大型写真コンペ、35Awardsの国際審査員もスペイン代表として務める。11.2万人が参加した同コンペでは、部門最高賞、The Best Photographer of the Year （ストリート写真部門）も受賞。
2025年、自身初の作品集となるAll the Fading WordsがデンマークのSnap Collectiveより刊行される。
